July 11, 2022
Board Minutes
A regular meeting of the Library District Board was held in person and via Zoom on July 11, 2022 at 6:30
pm and called to order at 6:35 pm.
Attendees: Kerry Bentler, Carrie Andrew, Emily Haight, Rhonda Oliver, Laurel Henderson, Beverly Taylor
and guest, Anna Szczepanski. Henry Lester and Kattie Neesham joined via Zoom.
Approval of the Agenda
A motion was made by Laurel Henderson to modify and approve. Emily Haight seconded. Vote to accept:
All Aye.

Motion of approval made by Laurel Henderson. Second made by Emily Haight. All Aye.
Public Comment
Anna Szcezpanski spoke about a CLIC (Colorado Library Consortium) and handed out CLIC swag items to
board members.
Rhonda spoke about flag donation by Bill Babbel. Board made motion to donate $300 from Foundation to
DAV (Disabled American Veterans), which would be cost of flag pole, due to Bill not accepting payment
for the flagpole. Emily Haigh made the motion. Kerry Bentler seconded. All Aye.
Monthly Budget Review
A motion was made by Kattie Neesham to accept budget. Second made by Henry Lester. All Aye.
Director’s Report
Stats: Notice of attendance down slightly in June. Increased number of lunches due to summer lunches
being handed out two days a week. Discussion of low teen involvement. Anna mentioned that many
libraries have low teen involvement and struggle with attendance.
Spoke about the visit by Governor Polis at an event held by the Telluride Foundation.
Discussion about Foundations’ 501(3)c status.
Board Member Reports
A motion was made to add Laurel Henderson as an alternative signor on the bank account at Alpine
Bank. Motion made by Kerry Bentler. Second made by Emily Haight. All Aye.
A motion was made to add Beverly Taylor as an authorized representative by Laurel Henderson. Second
made by Kerry Bentler. All Aye.
